Study Title | Murine gut bile acid analysis |
Study Type | Changes to bile acids in the murine gut after antibiotics Bile acid analysis (colon contents/plasma) |
Study Summary | Samples were collected at the time of necropsy. Contents from the lumen of the gastrointestinal tract of C57BL/6 mice were collected, flash frozen and stored in the -80C until processing for metabolomics assay. C57BL/6 mice treated with cefoperazone for 5 days with two days of water (n=5) were harvested along with non-antibiotic treated mice (n=5). Contents from the small intesine (duodenum, jejunum and ileum), the large intestine (cecum, colon) and stool were collected for targeted bile acid analysis. http://www.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/pmc/articles/PMC4333439/ |
