Study TitleMitochondrial Lipid Profiles in Traumatic Optic Neuropathy
Study SummaryC57Bl/6J Mice were exposed to sonication to induce a traumatic optic neuropathy model. Optic nerves were harvested and mitochondrial isolation was performed. Lipids were then extracted from isolated mitochondria. Mass spectrometry was used to analyze mitochondrial lipids.

Collection:

Collection ID:CO001396
Collection Summary:2 month old mice were exposed to sonication-induced trauma. Optic nerves were dissected from optic nerve head to optic chiasm.
Sample Type:Neurons

Treatment:

Treatment ID:TR001416
Treatment Summary:4 groups of 8 mice, 4 males and 4 females per group. Control group was euthanized at 2 months. Other three groups were exposed to sonication to induce traumatic optic neuropathy. Then groups were euthanized at one day, seven days, and fourteen days, respectively.

Sample Preparation:

Sampleprep ID:SP001409
Sampleprep Summary:Samples were homogenized and mitochondria were isolated. Lipids were extracted using butanol/methanol lipid extraction and run through mass spectrometer.
