Study SummaryWe conducted multi-omic phenotyping of healthy individuals, in order to investigate the interaction between diet, the microbiome, and the metabolome in a cross-sectional sample. We applied metabolomic profiling (at Metabolon Inc.) to plasma and stool samples in a subset of individuals (N=75).

Sampleprep Summary:Stool samples were collected within the 24 hours prior to the study visit, using a stool collection kit (Commode Specimen Collection System, Fisher Scientific, Pittsburgh PA). Samples were stored at 4˚C and aliquots made within 36 hours of sample collection. Processed samples were stored at -80˚C prior to analysis.
