#COLLECTION
CO:COLLECTION_SUMMARY Fresh stool samples were collected from each participant, immediately frozen at
CO:COLLECTION_SUMMARY −20 °C, transported on ice to the laboratory and then stored at −80 °C.
CO:SAMPLE_TYPE Feces
#TREATMENT
TR:TREATMENT_SUMMARY We enrolled participants consisting of patients with AF.
#SAMPLEPREP
SP:SAMPLEPREP_SUMMARY 20 mg fecal samples were pipetted into centrifuge tubes (1.5 mL) in preparation
SP:SAMPLEPREP_SUMMARY for extraction. The protein was precipitated with 800 μL of methanol and 10 μL
SP:SAMPLEPREP_SUMMARY of internal standard (2.9 mg/mL, DL-o-Chlorophenylalanine) was added. The
SP:SAMPLEPREP_SUMMARY samples were ground at 65 KHz for 90 s and centrifuged at 12000 rpm for 15 min
SP:SAMPLEPREP_SUMMARY at 4 °C. 200 μL of the supernatant was transferred into a vial for further
SP:SAMPLEPREP_SUMMARY analysis.
