ST:STUDY_TITLE                   	Hypoxia-driven dynamics of tomato root lipidome
ST:STUDY_SUMMARY                 	A distinct, hypoxia-related lipid composition of Solanum lycopersicum root
ST:STUDY_SUMMARY                 	tissue was observed. Out of 965 lipid species, 33 were exclusively detected in
ST:STUDY_SUMMARY                 	this condition. Among the lipid classes observed, glycerolipids and
ST:STUDY_SUMMARY                 	glycerophospholipids dominated by far (77%). Significantly, the abundance of
ST:STUDY_SUMMARY                 	triacylglycerols increased with hypoxic stress, while sitosterol esters,
ST:STUDY_SUMMARY                 	digalactosyldiacylglycerols, and phosphatidylcholine decreased. Alongside, an
ST:STUDY_SUMMARY                 	increased level of polyunsaturation was observed in the fatty acid chains, with
ST:STUDY_SUMMARY                 	18:2, 18:3 residues showing a significant increase. Of note, hexadecatetraenoic
ST:STUDY_SUMMARY                 	acid (16:4) was identified in hypoxia condition samples.

SP:SAMPLEPREP_SUMMARY            	Shiva and colleagues [20]. In brief, 0.1 g of grinded roots (cooled on liquid

SP:SAMPLEPREP_SUMMARY            	remaining water. Finally, the lipid extract was dried under constant N2-flow
SP:SAMPLEPREP_SUMMARY            	with a TurboVap sample evaporator (Biotage, Sweden) and frozen at -80°C until

MS:MS_COMMENTS                   	and median normalization was applied (Figure S2). Lipids present in less than
MS:MS_COMMENTS                   	20% of samples were excluded from subsequent analysis of lipid species. For
MS:MS_COMMENTS                   	principal component analyses (PCA), lipid species identified in at least 50% of
MS:MS_COMMENTS                   	samples were considered, and the three independent replicates were
