PR:PROJECT_SUMMARY               	3 seasonal visits. Using these samples, we will measure the effects of multiple
PR:PROJECT_SUMMARY               	relevant exposures (environmental tobacco smoke (ETS), polycyclic aromatic
PR:PROJECT_SUMMARY               	hydrocarbons (PAHs), phthalates, and volatile organic compounds (VOCs)) on
PR:PROJECT_SUMMARY               	biological responses (metabolomics, oxidative stress, inflammatory markers, and
PR:PROJECT_SUMMARY               	endocannabinoids) and asthma outcomes. Our overall hypothesis is that relevant

TR:TREATMENT_SUMMARY             	Samples were received frozen in aliquouts of <250uL. Prior to analysis, samples

SP:SAMPLEPREP_SUMMARY            	Samples were prepared for metabolomics analysis using established

SP:SAMPLEPREP_SUMMARY            	plasma was treated with 100 microliters of ice-cold LC-MS grade acetonitrile

SP:SAMPLEPREP_SUMMARY            	eight stable isotopic chemicals selected to cover a range of chemical
SP:SAMPLEPREP_SUMMARY            	properties. Following addition of acetonitrile, urine was equilibrated for 30
SP:SAMPLEPREP_SUMMARY            	min on ice, upon which precipitated proteins were removed by centrifuge (14,000
SP:SAMPLEPREP_SUMMARY            	rpm at 4 degrees C for 10 min). The resulting supernatant (100 microliters) was
SP:SAMPLEPREP_SUMMARY            	removed, added to a low volume autosampler vial and maintained at 4 degrees C
