PR:PROJECT_SUMMARY Generation of MDCs promotes amino acid catabolism, and their formation occurs PR:PROJECT_SUMMARY simultaneously with transporter removal at the plasma membrane via the PR:PROJECT_SUMMARY multi-vesicular body (MVB) pathway. Combined loss of vacuolar amino acid PR:PROJECT_SUMMARY storage, MVBs and MDCs renders cells sensitive to high amino acid stress.
