Metabolites were extracted from the dissected tissues, PR:PROJECT_SUMMARY reconstituted, and analyzed using liquid chromatography (LC) electrospray PR:PROJECT_SUMMARY ionization (ESI) mass spectrometry (MS). The targeted metabolite measurements PR:PROJECT_SUMMARY were performed on a trapped ion mobility time-of-flight mass spectrometer PR:PROJECT_SUMMARY (timsTOF PRO, Bruker). Targeted MS assays on the metabolite intermediates PR:PROJECT_SUMMARY produced downstream, complemented by classical fluorescence-based metabolite PR:PROJECT_SUMMARY assays when available, revealed local oxidative stress and enrichment of PR:PROJECT_SUMMARY reactive oxygen species (ROS) in the SMO.
