Food intake was monitored daily during experiments. The Research TR:TREATMENT_SUMMARY Diets product number for the control diet is A17101101 and for SAAR diet is TR:TREATMENT_SUMMARY A17101103. #SAMPLEPREP SP:SAMPLEPREP_SUMMARY Soluble lipid extraction was done by adding 50% methanol:50% H2O and chloroform SP:SAMPLEPREP_SUMMARY 2:1 to the samples. Samples were incubated at 4°C (on wet ice) for 10 min and SP:SAMPLEPREP_SUMMARY then centrifuged at 4 °C at 20,000 x g for 5 min. The bottom layer was SP:SAMPLEPREP_SUMMARY extracted using glass hamilton syringes and transferred to glass vials for SP:SAMPLEPREP_SUMMARY further processing. The first extraction step was repeated and the chloroform SP:SAMPLEPREP_SUMMARY was evaporated using a nitrogen gas manifold.
