We found that reduced food intake was the predominant PR:PROJECT_SUMMARY driver of body weight loss and wasting of fat and muscle, suggesting no PR:PROJECT_SUMMARY additional causal mechanisms. In contrast, food intake reduction did not affect PR:PROJECT_SUMMARY physical performance, indicating food intake-independent factors in causing PR:PROJECT_SUMMARY fatigue. We found that cancer cachexia in the C26 mouse model is accompanied by PR:PROJECT_SUMMARY widespread metabolic reprogramming, particularly affecting glucose, fatty acid, PR:PROJECT_SUMMARY and amino acid metabolism.
