Collection:
Collection ID: | CO002291 |
Collection Summary: | Human fecal metabolome profiles under 3 different dietary terms. During the first phase (term 1), there was no restriction on diet, but consumption of medicinal drugs and dietary supplements were prohibited. In the second phase (term 2), subjects ate provided meals. The menus of meals were different every time. For the last phase (term 3), subjects continuously ate an identical meal 15 times, three times a day over 5 days. Commercially available box meals, frozen foods, fruits, sandwiches, rice balls, retort foods were provided in term 2 and 3. Throughout the trial, subjects collected their feces and froze them as soon as they could. After which, the frozen fecal samples were shipped frozen to the Institute for Advanced Biosciences, Keio University, Yamagata, Japan, for metabolome and metagenome analysis. |
