Study Title | Metabonomics analysis reveals the physiological mechanism of promoting maize shoots growth under negative pressure to stabilize soil water content |
Study Summary | The purpose of this study is to analyze maize shoots growth under negative pressure to stabilize soil water content,Maize plants were subjected to two irrigation treatments. The first treatment was soil moisture dry-wet cycles, which was obtained using drip irrigation (control, DW). The second treatment was negative pressure to stabilize soil water content treatment (SW), which was obtained using the negative pressure irrigation (NPI) system. |

Sample Preparation:
Sampleprep ID: | SP002039 |
Sampleprep Summary: | Collected samples were thawed on ice, and metabolites were extracted from 20 µL of each sample using 120 µL of precooled 50% methanol buffer. Next, the mixture of metabolites was vortexed for 1 min, followed by incubation for 10 min at room temperature, and storing at -20°C overnight. On the next day, the mixture was centrifuged at 4,000 g for 20 min and the supernatant was subsequently transferred to 96 well plates. Samples were stored at ‐80°C prior to the LC‐MS analysis. Pooled quality control (QC) samples were also prepared by combining 10 μL of each extraction mixture |
