Project Title:Metabolomics of Neonatal Pulmonary Hypertension (in Preterm Infants)
Project Type:Case-control study
Project Summary:This study aimed to determine metabolic patterns in cord blood associated with the development of pulmonary hypertension (PH) in human preterm infants. Umbilical cord blood was acquired from a nested case-control study of 20 premature (gestational age <37 weeks) infants with PH (cases) and 20 infants without PH (controls) selected from Prentice NICU birth cohort. Case and control infants were matched by race/ethnicity, gender, and gestational age. Archived cord blood plasma underwent metabolomics analysis.
