Collection Summary: | Patient biopsy samples were obtained from the PROBE-NET study and from Professor Andrew Barbour’s surgical oncology group (SOG), all participants gave written informed consent. Ten esophageal biopsies were selected for BE and EAC, as well as the healthy normal esophagus (NE), initially as determined by the endoscopist. Following endoscopic/surgical removal, biopsies were collected in screw cap tubes containing RNAlater and stored at 4°C during the operation, and at - 80°C for long-term storage. |
