Study TitleMetabolomic analysis reveal mechanisms of Shenzao dripping pill against myocardial ischemia
Study TypeMetabolomic analysis on serum samples of SZDP against MI
Study SummaryThis study employed the advanced Ultra-high performance liquid chromatography-quadruple-Exactive Orbitrap mass spectrometry technology to detect biomarkers related to myocardial ischemia in rats. Additionally, it aimed to investigate the effect of the Shenzao dripping pill on rectifying metabolic disorders and preserving the metabolites in dynamic balance during myocardial ischemia, analyze potential metabolic pathways, and elucidate the mechanism of action of SZDP through the lens of metabolomics.

Collection:

Collection ID:CO003103
Collection Summary:Blood was collected from abdominal aorta, and the serum samples were obtained by separating the supernatant from the blood centrifugation with 3,500 rpm for 10 min after 30 min of coagulation and stored in the refrigerator at −80°C immediately.
Sample Type:Blood (serum)

Treatment:

Treatment ID:TR003119
Treatment Summary:Rats in the model and sham groups were given a solution of 0.5% CMC-Na; in the high dose of the SZDP group was administered 500 mg/kg SZDP. All rats were subjected to intragastric administration once daily.

Sample Preparation:

Sampleprep ID:SP003116
Sampleprep Summary:In each 200 μL aliquot of serum sample, 600 μL of acetonitrile was added and the mixture was thoroughly mixed for a duration of 1 minute. Then, the mixture was subjected to centrifugation at 13000 rpm and 4 °C for a period of 15 min. The supernatant was collected and evaporated to dryness with nitrogen. Methanol (100 μL) was added, and the reconstituted mixture was vortexed and centrifuged at 13000 rpm and a temperature of 4 °C for 15 min.
